New production facility in Serbia – October 2008

In order to deal with a significantly increased demand for Soenen equipment on a global scale, Soenen decided to invest over 2 million Euro in a new production facility located in Kragujevac, Serbia. This production site will feature state-of-the-art technology to guarantee and maintain Soenen’s outstanding level of quality.

With its surface of over 4000 m², this new facility will store all future transformer related projects like slitting lines and transformer core cutting lines. Even the startup of the newly acquired quickst@ck technology (a solution for digital stacking of roll formed sections of any shape and length) is done from Serbia.

The premises completion is expected for second half of 2009 and will employ 50 people. This new facility is completely in line with the company’s plan for long term growth and is one of the many solutions to improve capacity dramatically.
